Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award Recognized for his exceptional contribution to medical education, Dr. Mohammed Khalil receives national recognition by the AAMC as a 2019 Alpha Omega Alpha Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award recipient. UofSC names new dean for School of Medicine Greenville Dr. Marjorie Jenkins, a distinguished academic health leader, has been hired to lead the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. She will look to continue the school's growth since it was established in 2012 and will begin her new position Aug. 1. She will also take on the role of chief academic officer for Prisma Health-Upstate. 2019 Faculty/Staff Awards The UofSC School of Medicine Greenville is pleased to announce the following faculty and staff awards for 2019. Class of 2019 celebrates 100% residency placement rate The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville's senior class celebrated a 100 percent residency placement during the school's annual Match Day ceremony; this is the fourth year in a row that each class has accomplished this milestone. The Class of 2019's residency placements included an array of specialty programs, such as ophthalmology, psychiatry, orthopaedic surgery and urology.
